JD.com applies for over 200 blockchain patents, but Alibaba is still the first in the world
Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com has applied for over 200 blockchain-based patents. JD.com is the third largest internet company in the world after Amazon and Google and is the second largest firm according to the number of patents (the first is the other Chinese giant Alibaba with 262 patents). Steve Kaaru (Coingeek) explains that 2018 saw a record number of approved patents: over 1,000 in the world.
