Consulcesi Tech joins “Covid credentials initiative”
Together with over 60 cross-sector organisations worldwide, Consulcesi Tech provides know-how and skills for the development of digital certificates useful for mitigating the spread of COVID-19 and reboot public trust.
The initiative, in cooperation with important Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) entities such as Evernym, TNO, Infocert, Cardiff University Crime and Security Research Institute, George Town University and many others, aims to provide an effective response to the need for “digital passports” for a safe recovery and management of post-lockdown economic and social activities.
These certificates, provided by approved Issuers, will be digital and portable within our personal smartphones and will, for example, allow us to identify as an authorized health worker between different hospitals, to demonstrate recovery after testing negative or taken a serological test, or even to have received the vaccine when available. All in a framework compliant with GDPR according to data minimization and anonymization.
The project, which involves from Start UPs to Institutional Actors, aims to release guidelines on all the key aspects for the implementation of certificates and Verifiable Credentials in “real business” scenarios. Use cases, rules and governance, tools and technologies, coordination, communication and inclusion, are the four main workstreams that guide the Working Group towards effective responses to the ongoing health emergency.
