World Blockchain Summit: digital health revolution starts in Dubai

The world’s top experts on Blockchain in Dubai are arguing about a new digital paradigm destined to radically change many aspects of our lives, first of all the healthcare approach. Massimo Tortorella, President of Consulcesi Tech: “The United Arab Emirates are ready to take up the Blockchain challenge to improve citizen services, especially about healthcare. This must be a warning to the European Union so that it does not remain inert while the rest of the world is running up”

DUBAI. Worldwide industry specialists at the World Blockchain Summit are taking stock of a new digital paradigm destined to change not only the financial sector, but also public organizations and both national and local governments. Dubai represents the excellence in this respect: the country launched the Dubai 2020 program in order to get the first urban integrated regulation and to become a real “smart city” where all essential citizen services will be managed through the Blockchain.
Massimo Tortorella, President of Consulcesi Tech, hi-tech company specialized in Blockchain and Cybersecurity, says: “The United Arab Emirates are ready to take up the Blockchain challenge just as a technological vanguard to improve citizen services by making them more transparent, efficient, safe and customized. All this also in the healthcare sector, as Ramadan AlBlooshi, CEO of the Dubai Healthcare City Authority, representing over 40.000 health professionals, has just confirmed. Take for example the drug traceability and the counterfeit drugs: according to World Health Organization (WHO) more than 30% of drugs sold in developing countries are counterfeit and this is a serious risk for those who take them and a damage for the manufacturers of $200 billion a year. The Blockchain can solve this problem by certifying the whole drug supply chain“.
Consulcesi Tech is among the main characters at the summit thanks to its great expertise gained through various projects. Some examples are briefly given below. The book “Crypto-Revelation. Why there is no turning back from Blockchain and digital currencies”, presented at the EU Parliament in Brussels during a debate where all of the speakers highlighted the European delay in the field. The constitution of “ConsulCoin Cryptocurrency Fund”, the first European investment fund based on Blockchain and Cryptocurrency: it was implemented together with Mashfrog, a leading Fintech company that launched the first European ICO based on AI for robo-advisors. The opening of the biggest photovoltaic plant in Moldova, a 100 percent eco-friendly structure for the largest local “eco-mining farm”. The launch, in cooperation with the Link Campus University, of a MBA in “Blockchain and Economics of Cryptocurrencies”, the first European postgraduate course on the subject payable with digital coins.

«At the summit I’m noting great interest for the position of the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama on the imminent approval of a Fintech regulatory framework in Albania. The regulation issue is now central and involves also exchange platforms as Kraken, a world’s leading platform by volume of exchanges. We already have made contact with them. All this must be a warning to the European Union – Tortorella concludes – so that it does not remain inert while the rest of the world is running up».
